Acting in a way that is out of the ordinary can be a benefit to your cause, providing you have one. Repeating yourself and refusing to hear the opposition’s remarks is a means by which to dominate a conversation. The ‘it’ I refer to is the establishment. “I can’t hear you” means “I am ignoring you!” This hopefully frustrates them. By their standards, I am inane. Having people think you are stupid can be good for you if you are able to come back at them with something they cannot argue against. Crypt refers to my body, which is vacant, or unfeeling.
lyrics
I can’t hear you.
It is coming to my world.
It is crawling on my skin.
It is invading my silence and it’s waiting for your death.
But I can’t hear you.
I am inane inane inane inane inane.
The cards are assembled, impatiently waiting.
Well here is the answer, unoccupied thinking.
Deliberately vacant, this crypt is vacant.
It needs a body and it’s waiting for your life.
But I can’t hear you. Repeating.
