about

Originally a Jules Hanon song found on the 1992 album 'Family Jules' this song plays with the notion that nothing is something and that nothing being what most thing are ... they then , in fact, are something to be concerned with.

Value systems need to looked into. Our society's health depends on it. All too often we spend our energies in the wrong places and thus we can easily neglect those truly beautiful aspects of life.

While I use dark imagery I am hoping to push through a thought of positive thinking which intentionally stands in contrast to the lyrical content.

lyrics

Hail the rising sun Colours limited I aim my see through gun
Calling Lucifer He’s got me on the run End up prisoner of nothing

Lord of all around You see us pleading Won’t you lay your money down
Graves are turning There are maggots in the ground Still your children are worth nothing

Through the fire wall Pretend soldiers march They build their crosses tall
Caught up in the magic Now they start to fall Finding out their life means nothing

Life’s a callous dream With edges fraying It belongs inside a scream
Over-rating us by saying we are clean When really all we are are nothing
