In 1983 Ronald Reagan branded the Soviet Union the ‘evil empire’. Cursed life represents living under the threat of nuclear war. I attack religion when speaking of extolling the lamb. ‘Nirvana’ and the ‘path’ are hopeful possibilities that are ignored. Religions include an apocalypse. To believe in religion, you must also believe in a horrific finality. This is a gloomy way to live. After the destruction, people will want to be led. But the leaders are underground and are not willing to come out. Just imagine that.
lyrics
Play dead is the only rule that you can follow.
Reeling and screaming had not profit.
Skeletons are dusted by the fallout.
Heathen heaving flies out of its sockets.
Cursed life unwinding, the spell is broken.
It's not so alien to me.
Fall down, extol the lamb you've slaughtered.
Hail to pressure here to those that grieve.
Last Call.
Nirvana exists, but no one is seeking.
Apocalyptic tension, the agreement.
The path is there, but none who travel.
Instead they suffer in the gloom of Hades.
Last Call.
Desperate attempts made to find leaders.
They've all gone underground for safety.
They cower from the stench of annihilation.
Crawl into their own grave without a coffin.
Just imagine that.
Last Call.
