Originally a hard rock song, Chained Lady was played by Jules Hanon. The name Chained Lady comes from the nickname given to the Andromeda galaxy. Even as a rock song it had a certain psychedelic feel to it.
Note: this is the first time I mention sitting on a star. Through the course of my writing I regularly made reference to this. Sitting on a star means for me two things. First it means freedom but it also means the consequences resulting from freedom which is not always a good thing.
Chained Lady, despite being called that, is about life here on earth and all those things which make it a struggle.
lyrics
Chained Lady don't you hear my call
The teacher's sitting on a star
He needs someone to talk to him
For he's been looking rather thin to me
Sister White kiss the knight and open wide
I'll have to show me story
Do you call me a fool 'cause I don't fit your rules
Or am I really all that boring
I know that it's not so
'Cause you found yourself
Third stone from the wishing well
And you think you're blessed
Hail to high we just got to try
To make our day
Chained Lady don't you hear my call
As I try to say
I've had enough ... I don't believe you've had enough
In the auditorium the plastic smiles are wearing thin
They're talking about the war again
Though this time they will put an end to them
I'll see you at the cinema
Please warn me if I've gone too far
Schoolmaster wonders who we are
Don't tell him that I've seen the star
